EXAMEN FINAL - 1er semestre
I. La compréhension auditive – 1 à 25 You will hear a series of spoken prompts and then read questions about those prompts. You will choose the correct answer based on what you hear.
II. La lecture – 26 à 50 You will read several passages in French on a variety of topics, mostly dealing with the topics you have seen in chapters 1 through 4. You will then read questions regarding these passages. You are to choose the best answer to each question.
III. La grammaire et le vocabulaire – 51 à 75 In this section, you will be asked to fill in the blank by choosing the most appropriate word to make the sentence correct - either through your knowledge of French vocabulary or French grammar.
IV. La culture – 76 à 100 In this section, you will read questions, in English, and choose the most appropriate/accurate answer. These are from the cultural readings in chapters 1 through 4 in your text.
V. Les rédactions – 75 points You will have three writings (short essays) worth 25 points each. You will need to know how to write in present and in past (passé composé and imparfait). You will also need to know vocabulary from the "Comment dit-on" sections of chapters 1 through 4. In each of your essays, you should consider the following questions:
□
does the verb match its subject?
□
does the adjective match its noun?
□
is the adjective in the right place?
□
does the subject vary from sentence to sentence?
□
is the vocabulary extensive, appropriate and non-repetitive?
□
is the question completely answered with enough detail?
□ did I show what I really know? Remember, this could be GOOD or BAD! Make sure it is GOOD!
